Hmong motifs are never isolated forms. They are connected to old songs, myth, nature, women, and family memory, and move continuously among paper cutting, embroidery, silverwork, and ceremonial dress. Our design process does not begin by “adding ethnic elements”, but by entering the places in which those forms already live.
